The law in Georgia requires that all children under 13 years of age must wear USCG-approved PFD whenever the boat is underway. This does not apply when the child is in a fully enclosed cabin. PFD is important to wear at all times due to an emergency situation that may occur suddenly leaving no time to put on PFDs.
