memorize Soh Cah Toa, which means:
sin = opposite/hypotenuse
cos = adjacent/hypotenuse
tan = opposite/adjacent
opposite & adjacent are determined based on the angle being referenced.
hypotenuse is ALWAYS opposite of the 90 degree angle.

cos Y = 5/13
tan Y = 12/5
