Nitrogen is so vital because it is a major component of chlorophyll
And it also is a major component of amino acids, the building blocks of proteins. Without proteins, plants wither and die.

nitrogen is one of the macro-molecule for plant. it helps in making glucose in plant also it helps in photosynthesis.
