1. Factor out 2 from the expression : 2(x-5) / 4 = 3x
2. Reduce the fraction with 2 : x-5 / 2 = 3x
3. Multiply both sides of the equation by 2 : x-5=6x
4. Move the terms : x - 6x = 5
5. Collect like terms : -5x = 5
6. Divid both sides by -5
