How is waste (and the accumulation of it) not only harming wildlife, but ourselves?

Not many people knew about this, but many of our waste go back into the rivers and water companies collect that water and sell it back to us!
And it has recently been on the news that a pregnant woman had micro plastics found inside the umbilical cord! Everything we drink and eat, has an 100% chance of having mini micro plastics.
