Ricardo has 1/2 foot of yarn.How many inches does he have?

1 foot = 12 inches 
Ricardo has 1/2  foot of yarn 
If 1 foot=12 inches
that means 1/2=6
we simply divide 12/2 to get 6 
Therefore as a final answer we get 6 inches.
