How does a dictatorship affect the constituency of a country?

The point of a constituency is to give a group of people the right to elect a certain person to a certain position. With a dictatorship, the citizens don't have any choice in an election. The dictator is in complete control and it ruins constituency since the citizens don't have any power over elections.
